Somatic Reiki

People don’t leave their life experiences at the door when they come in for a Reiki session.

They bring their bodies. Their histories. Their relationships. Their grief, fear, stress, joy, uncertainty, and everything they’ve learned to do to survive.

Sometimes that shows up quietly. And sometimes it shows up as tears, shaking, anxiety, overwhelm, dissociation, unexpected emotion, or simply not knowing what is happening inside.

Somatic Reiki is an approach to Reiki that recognizes and makes space for the fullness of the human experience.

It brings together Reiki with trauma awareness, embodiment, nervous system understanding, and a deep respect for presence, choice, and individual experience.

Not to turn Reiki into therapy. Not to pathologize people’s experiences. And not to force release. But to help create the conditions for people to feel more supported, more connected, and more at home in themselves.

Two paths. One approach.

Somatic Reiki for Clients

A space to reconnect with yourself.

Your body has its own language. Somatic Reiki creates room to listen.

Sessions combine Reiki with an embodied, trauma-informed approach that honors your individual experience. Sessions may incorporate Reiki alongside grounding, orienting, gentle movement, breath awareness, or other somatic practices when appropriate.

Somatic Reiki sessions may support you in:

  • Reconnecting with your body
  • Developing greater awareness of sensation and emotion
  • Finding and deepening into resources
  • Exploring a greater sense of safety and choice
  • Moving through periods of stress or overwhelm
  • Experiencing deeper rest and relaxation
  • Feeling supported enough to move through challenging experiences as they arise
  • Building a more compassionate relationship with yourself

What makes it different?

A typical Reiki session is all about receiving. It is a passive form of healing where we trust Reiki to give us what we need. In Somatic Reiki sessions, Reiki acts as an anchor and a guide while you take a more active role in the experience.

You may:

  • Move
  • Talk
  • Make sounds
  • Open your eyes
  • Change positions or sit up
  • Use self touch
  • Visualize

This is a space where you can learn to listen to the whispers of the body and begin to give yourself what you need.

A professional training for Reiki practitioners who want to feel equipped to meet the whole human experience.

Reiki practitioners work with people—not just energy. And people bring their whole selves into the Reiki room. Yet, most practitioners aren’t taught how to deal with anything but the energetic experience.

Somatic Reiki Practitioner Training helps you develop the skills and confidence to stay present when the work gets complex.

In this training, you’ll explore:
